CVE Performance Training Center Announced

Central Virginia Endurance (CVE) is proud to announce the plans for the CVE Performance Training Center in Richmond, VA.

This full service training center will be located in the heart of the Historic Carytown District on the very popular Cary Street. Individuals will have the ability to access state of the art physiological testing, training equipment, world class coaching, and a variety of classes targeting athletes of all abilities. With over 3000 sq ft. of space, the CVE Performance Training Center will become the training hotspot for triathletes, cyclists, and runners in the Greater Richmond Area. In addition to this news, CVE is excited that the Carytown Bicycle Company will be moving their shop and will share the adjoining 5000 square feet to the CVE Performance Training Center. This relationship will create a cultural center for triathletes, cyclists, and runners to train, socialize, shop, and grow in the 2015 World Cycling Championships Host City. The center is scheduled to open in March of 2012.

May 2011 Athlete of the Month

May 2011 Athlete of the Month

Congrats to the CVE Athlete of the Month for May…..Ty Simpson.

In 2011, Ty stepped away from his normal training routine of going hard everyday and joined the CVE squad adopting a new performance based training program. In his 3rd Ironman and first with CVE, Ty shattered his personal best by over an HOUR on a brutally hot day at Ironman Texas. Not only did he overcome the heat but he overcame the missing socks in T2 which forced him to run the entire 26.2 mile marathon sock-less. Thats truly BAD ASS behavior. Ty’s commitment to training, his business, and his family were amazing during his prep for IMTX. Congrats on an amazing day and strong 2011 so far!

March 2011 Athlete of the Month

March 2011 Athlete of the Month

Keith Glowacki is CVE’s athlete
of the Month for March.

He has had a tremendous off season. Now faster in all 3 sports he recently destroyed his power numbers on his last test. He has showed renewed commitment. Taking winters mostly off in the past has really hurt him. Keith learned how to push his body over the last few months and has exercised this new skill often. He is really set up for a great year.

Congrats the the CVE Athlete of the Month……Kirstin Whitely.
Kirstin made a commitment to her self and her coaches to get fast in 2011. She took her first steps towards that goal as she partnered with Advocare to do the 24 day challenge. At the completion of the 24 day challenge, Kirstin had gone through an amazing physical and mental transformation and is ready to take on the world. Congrats Kirstin.

January 2011 Athlete of the Month

January 2011 Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to our January 2011 “Athlete of the Month” Jeff Tunstall.

January was a very difficult month for many athletes due to weather conditions, beginning of the year commitments, and the winter blues but Jeff showed the commitment of a champion during this month. He did whatever it took to “get the work done” and is seeing huge fitness gains from these efforts. He also is a cornerstone of support to his teammates, whether its helping guide the Duathlon Training Team during a 28 degree ride or lending supporting words via social media, his support is unparalleled. Please help me in congratulating our first “Athlete of the Month” in 2011.
